A sorority girl who came to college not following Jesus — and walked off campus a few years later as a StuMo staff member, discipling the very girls she once was.
Monet came into college not following Jesus. Hannah met her, started discipling her, and walked with her through the slow process of giving her life to Christ and learning what it actually looks like to follow Him as a sorority girl on a secular campus.
Her life was changed. The gospel didn't just affect her Sundays — it reorganized her friendships, her dating life, her major, her future.
Monet graduated in three years with a finance degree. She could have walked into a high-paying job in a major city. Instead, she had a deep desire to minister to the girls she once was — the girls who came to college with no spiritual context, no church background, and no one telling them there was something more.
She joined StuMo staff to do exactly that.
One of the girls Monet has been discipling is Mady. Mady came to college comfortable keeping her faith surface-level — Christian on paper, but not particularly committed to it being the thing that shaped her life.
Through Monet's leadership, she's seen that complacency isn't what the Lord desires. Mady has grown convictions in purity, conduct, and speech she never thought she would have. She's a different woman than the one who showed up to UofA — and it happened in real time, through the patient one-on-one work of someone who had been discipled the same way.
This is the math we keep talking about. Hannah invested in Monet. Monet invested in Mady. The work multiplies past us — and someday Mady will invest in someone else, and that line will keep going long after we're gone.
